Mason County STEAM Academy

The Owner's program included creation of STEAM education spaces within a converted factory building next to the Intermediate School campus. The School District had previously installed an indoor track facility in a portion of the existing space and wanted to maintain track and field events and keep them available for events throughout the construction process. The program included modification to field event locations within the building, fit up of technology labs and classrooms and the addition of an Agriculture Barn with classrooms. The addition of an entrance vestibule and administration area fit up was also included along with the addition of an insulated veneer finish system and paved parking expansion.

Occupied in fall of 2015 this $3.6 Million Dollar renovation and addition includes full renovation of over 22,000 sf of classroom, lab, and restroom space and new construction of an additional 5,725 sf of new construction.
