The Henry County New Castle Elementary School project has completed two phases: first in 2010-2011, an addition of the administrative offices, main lobby, gymnasium, food storage area, and an entire new classroom wing for pre-school and kindergarten students were added; The second phase from 2011- 2012, included another classroom wing and a renovation of the existing spaces of the school - including media center, cafeteria, stage, and kitchen. A full HVAC renovation converted the building from a boiler and cooling tower to geothermal heating and cooling and helped the facility earn the Energy Star certification.
