The West Point Independent School project involved both a very tight budget and an important deadline. The district funding had a maximum of $1.9 million for construction, and a suspense date of 15 January 2008 to have construction bonds sold. That meant the initial bid had to come in on budget or the entire fund available would be forfeited. The scope included an eight (8) classroom addition (9,750 s.f.), plus renovation of five (5) classrooms, administration area, and media center. Low bid for the work was on budget ($150/s.f.) and bonds were sold on time. Work reached completion in December 2008.
