Phase 1 of the Clinton County High School program described replacement of hot/cold water system installed in several construction phases with a new water-source heat pump system for maximum individual control in classrooms, and self-contained units for gym area. The budget was tied to a maximum available amount, and the program had to be developed around it. The system was up and running for school in August.
Phase 2 was HVAC system for gym and bleacher replacement. Owner requirement for project completion over summer break required both detailed scheduling, as well as early purchase of materials and equipment. Both schedule and budget were met.
Phase 3 was roof replacement for the complete 60,000 s.f. facility and was completed over summer break with adhered EPDM material over existing tectum deck.
Phase 4 was the office and kitchen renovation and security upgrade. The work included complete revision to administrative office layout to accommodate both office function, staff needs, and overall school security by creating secure entry vestibule. Additionally, the project included replacement of aged plumbing utilities serving main food service and safety issues with food equipment gas utility.
