Replacing Grandstands for 800-1000 seats at both High Schools in the County included vastly different sites. East Carter HS grandstands are on a flat field while West Carter HS seating is on a sloped hillside overlooking the footbal field. Both projects were constructed simultaeously and ready for occupancy for the fall football season.
The new grandstands include closed risers, handicap accessible seating with ramp access and handrails in addition to safer guardrail systems than the previous systems. The new press boxes each include 3 rooms with heating and cooling in addition to a rooftop filming platform. This project improved life safety and accessiblity in addition to enhancing the aesthetic image and comfort of the users.
