ADAIR COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL

The "old" (1959) Adair County High School facility was converted to a Middle School during a 3-phase project, but the building was dilapidated with unusable systems and classrooms. Our task was to develop the revised spaces with new finishes, ADA accessibility, new power and data systems, and new HVAC systems. While developing new administration areas, and special class areas, as well as renovation of kitchen (equipment and finishes) and gymnasium areas (floor finishes, HVAC, air conditioning), we added ADA lifts, ramps, and accessible toilets. The facility was developed using local, state, and grant funds, and the transformation is striking, as well as on budget and on schedule.
