Henry County Middle School

The Henry County Middle School Addition and Renovation program was developed with a SBDM and teacher

committee. The Principal and former Superintendent Butch Twyman were strong leaders and advocates for

continued involvement by the user, and we wholeheartedly agree. The program included new media space, six (6)

classrooms, TMH, resource areas, and administration space. Renovated areas included new computer lab and

youth service center, as well as enlarged teacher work areas.

The construction contract was 12% below budget estimates, and the work was completed on schedule. Both were

critical because the Owner had a finite budget figure, and the Board scheduled to relocate all 6th graders to this

site in August to begin school.
