Hammons McClendon Youth Sports Cultural Center

This project was developed to support a program of activities specifically designed for youth in the Frankfort

Housing Authority Communities, including sports, teams, community meetings, and childcare in summer and

after-school. Site constraints, including an existing community building which was renovated to meet ADA, site

drainage, and floor plain issues, and a confined available area strongly affected design parameters. In addition to

a renovated community meeting space, the center contains basketball/volleyball space, and an aerobic workout

area with exercise equipment.
